Starting out on piano at a very young age, music quickly became Mike's biggest passion. After a year of playing piano, Mike took on the drums as his second instrument. His first band was the rockband "Avian" with which he played many shows in the Netherlands. Mike has won several prizes with this band for being the best drummer at talent shows. Later on he performed and recorded with several artists and acts in the Netherlands and the States. Drums and piano weren't enough for Mike as he picked up the guitar and bassguitar after a few years playing drums.
Nowadays Mike is composing and recording music for several artists in a broad range of musical styles. For this he founded the music-company MainGrounds.
